Theme of Bhagavatgita

Bhagavatgita is a part of Bhishma Parva of Hindu epic, Mahabharatha. Meaning of Srimad Bhagavatgita is the Song of the God. It’s a divine discourse spoken by Lord Krsna himself. It’s the conversation b/w Lord Krsna and Arjuna as Arjuna prepares to go into battle to fight against Kauravas for Throne of Hastinapur. In the entire conversation b/w Lord Krsna n Arjun the physical aspects of one's life,action renunciation, knowledge have been vividly described.

The main theme of Bhagavatgita is the explaination of the Five Basic concepts of Truth –

Eshwara (The Supreme Controller)

Jeeva(Living Beings, The Soul)

Prakruti(Nature, Matter)

Karma(Action)

Kaala(Time)

Bhagavatgita consists of 18 chapters –
